Our team is tasked with optimizing value for the advertiser, users and Google through mechanism innovations. Our mode of operation is a mix between research scientists, data scientists and software engineers.

In this role, you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

We're made up of multiple teams, building Google's Advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel and video advertising, as well as analytics. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
• Design experiments to evaluate hypotheses and tease out small-but-crucial effects in improving user/advertiser value.
• Write and test both code and documentations to evaluate new auction mechanisms and improve existing ones.
