Job Summary:
The role serves as a crucial bridge between business operations and technology, ensuring that organizational needs are effectively translated into actionable program requirements. The individual in this position will leverage their expertise to document functional and operational specifications that guide successful implementations. By managing data and reporting requests, developing training materials, and acting as a liaison between stakeholders, this role is essential for maintaining clarity in business/system requirements. The Senior Business/Systems Analyst will also engage in ongoing data analysis to evaluate program performance, standardize data definitions, and support the development of insightful reports that drive informed decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Translate business needs into detailed functional and operational requirements.
- Document functional and operational specifications for development teams.
- Manage data and reporting requests from various stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver training materials to enhance understanding of systems and processes.
- Act as a liaison between business units and technology teams to communicate requirements clearly.
- Standardize data definitions and maintain an inventory of reports.
- Perform ongoing data analysis to evaluate program performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Analyze linked data from different sources to provide comprehensive insights.
- Monitor trends and emerging technologies, assessing their potential impact on the organization.
- Make recommendations for innovation and strategic adaptation based on findings.
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in documenting functional specifications and operational requirements.
- Experience with data analysis tools and methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with business process modeling techniques.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business/systems analysis or a similar role.
